Our Mission

We Believe Every Artist Has the Ability To Turn Their Passion Into a Profession and Our Philosophy is Giving Back to Others

Based in Austin, Texas, our four-year comprehensive course is tailored to help each student develop the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in the visual arts.  Our faculty consists of professional working artists who are passionate about teaching and sharing their expertise with the next generation of artists. For a young artist in today's commercial market, the ability to combine strong traditional skills with strong digital software knowledge is critical to obtaining employment. Our graduates leave Gemini School as savvy professionals ready to succeed in any environment.  Let us help you turn your talent into a profession!

Gemini's Founder

Roger Barcilon worked for over 50 years in the advertising and publishing industries, collaborating with major advertising agencies throughout the US and Europe. He founded Gemini in Berkshire, England in 1984 where it thrived for 15 years. In the early 2000's Roger moved to the U.S.A.

In October of 2003, Roger, with his wife Colette, opened Gemini School in Texas.

Sadly, Roger passed away in 2022. He cared deeply for his students and worked hard to see each one succeed. Gemini School is committed to carry forward his legacy and continue his teachings.
